First-Principles Study of the Structural and Magnetic Properties of Iron indium Nitride

Abstract
A full-potential linear muffin-tin orbital method is used to study the magnetic and electronic properties of Fe1−xInxNFe1−xInxN alloys in zino-blende-derived structures. The lattice constant is found to vary linearly with concentration and to become matched to GaN near x=0.25x=0.25. The materials are found to exhibit a magnetic moment beyond a critical lattice constant.
