About Paula Prouhet

Paula Prouhet joined the College of Nursing as an assistant teaching professor in August of 2012. She brings expertise in the areas of pediatric and neonatal intensive care nursing. Paula teaches a variety of courses and clinical across the BSN programs, including pediatrics, health assessment, and foundations. She received her BSN from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2001 and her MSN in nursing education from Maryville University in 2009. She is currently obtaining her PhD in nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, with a research focus on nurses’ biases of families and the impact on family-centered care interventions in the neonatal intensive care unit.
