Research Topics: Applied medical anthropology, waterborne and communicable disease prevention, developmental immunology and childhood asthma, community based interventions for type-2 diabetes , public health program evaluation, tuberculosis in indigenous populations, evolutionary medicine, breast cancer, epidemiology, migrant/border health, environmental health. I am also interested in the promotion of diverse students in pre-med education and medical programs.
