About Patti Pedrus, M.A. in ESOL

Currently,  Patricia Pedrus (Patti) is the Sustainable Development Planner under the Division of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Office of Environment and Emergency Management at the FSM National Government. Prior to her current job, she worked briefly as a Consultant under a Management Consultant Firm,  eleven years as Assistant Professor under the Languages and Literature Division of College of Micronesia-FSM, Program Counselor under the Educational Talent Search Program, and High School Counselor at PICS High School.  Born and raised on the island of Saipan to Micronesian parents, Patti completed her elementary and junior high school education at Garapan Elementary, San Rogue Elementary School, and Hopwood Jr. High School before attending Xavier High School in Chuuk State. Following her high school graduation, Patti attended Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI and acquired her undergraduate degree in Philosophy in May, 1992.  In 2005 of May, Patti graduated from the School of International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont where she obtained her Masters of Arts in Teaching (ESOL).  Furthermore, in April of 2008, she received a certificate of completion from the Institute of Children’s Literature in West Redding, CT after diligently participating in an on-line correspondence work. Furthermore, through her current line of work, Patti has been trained in Solid Waste and Chemical Management work.
