About P. Pedrus

"Uhm....What's Up Doc?"
I am an EDUCATOR who is student centered and interested in students’ lives. I believe everyone has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Thus, I have and continue to help students to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals.
Although every semester brought a unique community of learners, I maintained a classroom filled with care and equitable environment where each student blossomed and grew.
I have assisted students in discovering who they are so they can express their own opinions and nurture their ideas. I have allowed students to become responsible members of the classroom community by using strategies and tools to become successful.
Furthermore, I have connected learning into world community to help them become effective citizens of this world.
Finally, I have instilled a sense of independent learning in my students over the years, and I have learned that as a result, they are motivated to work hard and master the skills necessary to reach their goals. Students are humans and they should be treated with respect and given the opportunity to succeed.
Even though I have changed careers from teaching to consulting in 2008 and currently in 2012 as an environmental agent, I am still involved in education and awareness, and from time to time I conduct research on ESL related matters. [P.Pedrus]
Two mice sat in their hole watching Cat lurk outside.
"I know how to make Cat go away," said the first mouse.
"How?" the second mouse asked in surprise.
"Watch! Bow, wow!!!" barked the first mouse.
Peering through their hole in the wall, they saw Cat running away in fear.
"Ah, see the benefit of knowing another language!"[Unknown]
