Mastectomy: A Review of Psychosocial Research
Health & Social Work (1981)
  • Pamela J. Miller, Portland State University
Abstract

A substantial increase has occurred in the number of empirical investigations undertaken on the psychosocial aspects of mastectomy. The author presents the results of six of these studies in the hope that social workers in health care will become better equipped to deal more effectively with those women who have received this type of surgery.
