Dr. Andresen serves as course director for community health nursing in the undergraduate nursing program and teaches the Population Health course to DNP students. She directs DNP Capstone projects and teaches the DNP practicum course. Dr. Andresen developed simulations on the home visit process and community assessment for the undergraduate community health nursing clinical course.
Dr. Andresen’s areas of interest include health behavior change, social support, nurse-managed community health centers, and community health planning. She has expertise and experience in conducting needs assessments and planning health programs for specific populations. Dr. Andresen was a 2011 recipient of the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research Healthy People Curriculum Task Force Certificate of Excellence.
