The study and the interpretation of prophecy were very important to Ellen White. It was her conviction that “increased light will shine upon all the grand truths of prophecy, and they will be seen in freshness and brilliancy, because the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness will illuminate the whole” (Ev 198). She called upon parents to instruct their children in the prophecies (CG 512) and urged believers “to combine in a strong effort to call the attention of the world to the fast-fulfilling prophecies of the Word of God” (Ev 193).
