Abstract

After giving us a framework of the economics theory behind bans on advertisement, the authors focus in three examples of specific regulations: infant formulas, prescribed drugs and legal services. The conclusion is that this type of regulation doesn't accomplish their goals and is often used as a means to restrain competition in a given market.
