About Oscar Súmar

A native of Peru, Oscar Sumar’s own research interests are in the areas of law and economics, constitutional law, competition law, consumer protection law and private law. He received his law degree summa cum laude from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Peru and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from UC Berkeley, School of Law. He clerked at the Constitutional Court of Peru and was the Chief Editor of Themis-Revista de Derecho and Palestra del Tribunal Constitucional. Oscar is the author of "Paradojas de la Regulacion de la Publicidad en Peru" (2010) and the editor of "Ensayos sobre Proteccion al Consumidor" (2011). Currently, he holds a position as a full-time lecturer researcher at Universidad del Pacífico.
