About Olena Bokareva

Olena Bokareva obtained her doctoral degree from Lund Univeristy in 2015. Her doctoral research was based on the analysis of the recent United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea, also known as the Rotterdam Rules. Her academic interest lies in maritime and commercial law, carriage of goods by sea, multimodal transport and the law of the sea. She teaches maritime and transportation law at the Faculty of law and selected topics in EU external trade law. She holds her LL.M degree from Lund University. Olena has been a visiting scholar at the Max Plank Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and a guest scholar at the Erasmus School of Law in Rotterdam. She has published chapters in books and articles in peer reviewed law journals. She has presented papers at several international conferences.
