About Lekan Balogun
Lekan Balogun is an award-winning playwright and theatre director. He has written plays for the Royal Court Theatre, London; the British Council, Nigeria; FLINN Theater, Germany; Centre for Black and African Art and Civilization (CBAAC); and the National Troupe of Nigeria. He holds a BA & MA (Distinction) in Theatre Arts, from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Nigeria, and recently concluded his PhD research (with Victoria Doctoral scholarship) in Postcolonial Shakespeare Adaptations & Intercultural Performance Studies, in the Theatre Programme of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His published and research works focus on Africa and African Diaspora, Black Theatre & Performance, Cultural Studies, Gender and Women's Studies, Cross-cultural performances and herneutics
