TRiO Works: Turning Roadblocks Into Opportunities
2012 OASFAA/OCAN Conference (2012)
  • Gary Williams
College degree attainment is vital in today's world. During a time when the U.S. trails in college degree attainment, it is imperative for school districts, higher education institutions, educational agencies and families to be aware of programs that work. This panel will discuss TRiO programs, who they are and how they help students from sixth grade through graduate school to earn the degree(s) they seek. The panel discusses the need for collaboration with other access and success programs and consists of experts who have more than 20 years' experience working with low-income, first generation, disabled and veteran students. This Power Point presentation accompanied the breakout session by the same title at the 2012 OCAN Conference.
