About Nurit Sheinberg

Dr. Nurit Sheinberg joined the College of Psychology faculty after being the director of research and evaluation at Nova Southeastern University's Mailman Segal Center since 2006. She obtained her doctoral degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and completed an NICHHD funded post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Miami. Her research and professional interests focus on children’s social-emotional development, challenging behaviors in young children, parenting support, autism educational interventions, school readiness, and early care and education quality enhancement initiatives. She has a number of active research grants and projects in these areas. In addition, she teaches classes in child development, early intervention, social-emotional development and research methods. She has trained teachers and professionals and serves as a consultant for early childhood programs.
