Social Work with Groups (2013)

Abstract
The journal is inviting manuscripts dedicated to innovative and creative approaches to promoting field instruction-education, training, consultation and supervision—outside of the academy—that advances group work practice. Submissions may reflect the perspectives of supervisors, field education advisors and instructors, trainers and consultants, researchers, agency administrators, and practitioners who may have benefited from creative training and supervision.

This issue will focus exclusively on group work education in the field as opposed to classroom education. While much has been written about the ways in which social workers and social work students may not be receiving adequate or consistent group work training and supervision, this issue strives to celebrate and highlight quality, cutting edge, new and original methods that are being used to promulgate, expand, and advance social group work.
