About Nicole Cruse

Nicole Cruse, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Disorders Department in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University. She has experience in both clinician and researcher roles. Her behavioral research focuses on traumatic brain injury and storytelling to qualitatively and quantitatively study language after an injury. Cruse specializes in designing research models to assess attention, cognition, language, learning, working memory and executive functions. She is the recipient of UCONN's Teaching Excellence and Commendation Award and Neurobiology of Language Fellowship.
