About Dr Nedeljka Rosic

Dr Nedeljka Rosic PhD (UQ), MSc (BU), BSc (Hons First Class, BU)

Dr Nedeljka Rosic has received a BSc (Hons First Class) in Molecular Biology and Physiology and an MSc degree in Biology from the University of Belgrade. She completed a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland working on xenobiotic enzymes and generation of novel, functional enzymes with improved catalytic properties. As a postdoctoral scientist, Dr Rosic has been awarded with 4 highly competitive fellowships and grants including a prestigious DECRA (Discovery Early Career Researcher Award) by Australian Research Council. While lecturing in Biomedical Sciences, her research is focused on the discovery of novel medicinal bio-products; host-microbe interaction; biotic and abiotic stress factors, genetic bio-markers and protein engineering via molecular evolution.
