About Naveed Rizvi

Naveed Rizvi is an associate professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Western University.



I have special interest in Mood and Anxiety Disorders, particularly Pediatric Bipolar Disorder, Psycho-pharmacology, Telemental Health and in planning and implementing community based strategies in prevention of mental illness.

I am working as consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program at London Health Sciences Centre and also works at the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Clinic at Child and Parents Resource Institute (CPRI).

I am also the Medical Director of the “CPRI Hub” of Telemental Health Program. Using videoconferencing, this program provide consultations and assessment for youth and provides education to community mental health agencies, schools, family physicians and pediatricians working in rural and under-served communities of the South Western Ontario.

As a full time teaching faculty member, I regularly provide teaching and clinical supervision to medical students, residents and sub-specialty fellows.
