About Nathan McClintock

Nathan McClintock is a geographer and Assistant Professor of Urban Studies and Planning at Portland State University. Engaging with urban political ecology, critical urbanism, and food systems planning, his research broadly explores food systems, cities, and the environment at multiple scales. More specifically, his current research agenda examines the intersection between North American urban agriculture movements, food systems policy and planning, and the specific urban political economies and historical geographies in which they arise.
