About Natalie Greene Taylor

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida's School of Information. My research focuses on young people’s access to information. More specifically, I study youth information behavior, information intermediaries, and information policy as it affects youth information access. I am an Editor of Library Quarterly and have published articles in Library & Information Science Research, Public Library Quarterly, Information Polity, and Journal of Documentation, among others. I have also co-authored three books: Foundations of Information Policy, Digital Literacy and Digital Inclusion: Information Policy and the Public Library and Libraries, Human Rights, and Social Justice: Enabling Access and Promoting Inclusion, and co-edited the book Perspectives on Libraries as Institutions of Human Rights and Social Justice.

I successfully defended my dissertation at the University of Maryland’s College of Information Studies in November 2015. In my dissertation, I examined youth access to digital government information. While at the Information Policy & Access Center at the University of Maryland, I also worked on projects relating to e-government, school and public libraries, and youth health and information literacy. I also received my Masters of Library Science at the University of Maryland-College Park in 2011, specializing in e-government and school library media.
