About Dr.-Ing. Nasser Hemdan

Nasser G. A. Hemdan, member IEEE, was born in Minia in Egypt, on January, 1977. I have received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Minia University, Egypt in 1999 and 2005, respectively, both in Electrical Engineering. I have received my PhD from Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany in 2011. From August 2011 I have worked as an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, Minia University, Egypt. Now I am a postdoctoral research fellow at Institute of High Voltage Technology and Electric Power Systems, Braunschweig University of Technology, Braunschweig, Germany. My main research interests are voltage stability, distributed generation and distribution systems automation.
I am a highly motivated, results-driven young male with major skills in areas of applying electric power technology models to analyze power systems with integration of renewable energy. My experience and knowledge are gained through working in different research projects, such as integration of decentralized wind energy into MV distribution networks, and switching state optimization of distribution networks in the presence of renewable energy based distributed resources.
