About Nancy Agnetta

Originally from Southwest Michigan, Nancy's first years of teaching were at Benton Harbor High School. She met her husband Dan while he was in graduate school at Andrews University. After his graduation, they relocated to Fresno, CA, where Nancy accepted her first SDA teaching assignment at Fresno SDA Academy. Besides teaching in Michigan and California, Nancy has taught reading and language arts in grades 6-12 in Colorado, Kansas, and Kentucky. After moving back to Michigan, she began teaching remedial reading and composition classes for Lake Michigan College and tutoring ESL students. In 2004, she accepted a teaching assignment at Andrews University at the University Center for Reading, Learning and Assessment, working with students needing additional skills in reading and basic math. In Fall 2007, she accepted a position in the TLC Department, teaching additional education classes. She plans to continue her education and to expand her role and responsibilities in the curriculum department. Her hobbies include gardening, jogging, and riding and training her two horses. Although she and her husband have no children, they love hosting students who have shared their home and culture with them during the past several years.
