About Nagesh Shukla

Dr Nagesh Shukla is an academic in the domain of Industrial & Systems Engineering, particularly in the areas of data analytics, simulation modelling and computational intelligence. He has research experience in working with industries and government agencies on large scale projects.
Dr Shukla has published in the areas of healthcare process modelling, system optimisation, supply chain logistics, evolutionary computing based on operations research formulations and stochastic simulation techniques. He has contributed more than 40 research publications in journals, conferences, patents, book chapters, and research reports. Dr Shukla is one of the associate editors of International Journal of Systems Science, and he is in the editorial board of the Journal of Advances in Radiology and Medical Imaging. He has a patent on healthcare systems data analysis in the USA Patent Office based on his PhD research work.
Dr Shukla is part of the infrastructure simulation and modelling team at SMART, where he commenced in November 2011 having come from the UK. In 2013, he has been named as one of the Chief Investigators to support modelling work in NHMRC funded project where lifetime simulation models of drug users in NSW is being developed for cost benefit analysis of treatment mix available for drug addicts.
He is involved in data analytics and modelling projects at the SMART Infrastructure Facility.
