About Nadia Nasr

Nadia Nasr is the Head of Archives & Special Collections in the University Library at Santa Clara University. She holds a BA in French with minors in Business and English from Mississippi College and an MLIS from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Since 2002 Nadia has been working with archival, special, and digital collections in public and academic libraries. Her initial work began when she was the Digitization Assistant at the McCain Library and Archives of The University of Southern Mississippi where she completed coursework to earn a Master’s in Library and Information Science. From 2005 to 2007 Nadia served as the Digitization Supervisor and Maryland Digital Cultural Heritage Program Coordinator at the Enoch Pratt Free Library / State Library Resource Center. There she planned and implemented digital collections projects for the Pratt Library’s special collections and coordinated projects for their statewide digitization program now known as Digital Maryland. From 2007-2015 Nadia was the University Archivist & Digital Collections Librarian at Towson University where she transformed the physical space and collections to build an active and engaging archival and digital collections program from the ground up. In June 2015 Nadia began work as the Head of Archives & Special Collections at Santa Clara University. Through all of these work experiences Nadia has obtained increasing responsibility managing all aspects of archives, special, and digital collections.
