About Robert (Mike) Steelman, B.Arch., AIA

Mike joined the faculty in January of 2022 to direct Harding’s new architecture program after teaching as an adjunct in the Interior Architecture program for seven years.  He also served on the advisory board for Interior Architecture for 15 years.  Mike earned a BARCH from the University of Arkansas in 1979. Following five years of practice in Dallas and Little Rock, he founded SCM Architects In 1985.  Prior to leaving SCM and joining the faculty, he served Harding as architect on numerous projects for over 30 years.  He is married to Fawnda, who recently retired from a career in Occupational Therapy at UAMS.
