Dean & Professor of Wellstar College of Health and Human Services
As a psychiatric epidemiologist by training, I naturally gravitate towards research in mental health with special interest in the intersection between substance use, violence and HIV, particularly in underserved regions of the world. I also focus on the structural drivers of poor health focusing primarily on alcohol policy, marketing and capacity development both here in the U.S. and also in West and East Africa.
Key areas of interests are: Alcohol and psychiatric epidemiology, urban health, adolescent and young adult health, violence prevention, vulnerable populations, health disparities, alcohol policy and capacity development.
