Geodesign has become a buzzword in the past four years although its main origin goes back to the late 1960s, with the publication of McHarg’s book Design with Nature (1969). Steinitz’ s book A Framework for Geodesign: Changing Geography by Design comes at a prime time since scholars, designers, and geographic information systems (GIS) professionals have been intrigued to understand and explore this “new” trend.
