About Mohammed Ali

Dr. Mohammed Ali joined The University of Texas at Tyler in Fall 2016 as an Associate Professor in the Department of Technology. He is also the Program Coordinator of the Technology Department at the UT Tyler-Longview campus. In addition to his work at the University, Dr. Ali is associated with the US Navy and Air Force as a Fellow Research Scientist and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Scholarship Reviewer. Dr. Ali was the past President of the ATMAE Micro and Nanotechnology Division (2019 - 2022) and has been the BS/MS Program Evaluator of the ATMAE Accreditation Board since 2016. His research articles have been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. He has written book chapters in the Handbook of Non-invasive Drug Delivery Systems and Bid-Data in Supply Chain Management and has presented at over 50 national/international conference proceedings. 

Dr. Ali has been the associate editor and an editorial board member of the Journal of Technology Management and Applied Engineering, the ASME Early Career Technical Journal and Advances in Mechanical Engineering (journal), the Journal of Manufacturing and Design Science, and the Journal of Management and Engineering Integration. Dr. Ali received numerous awards in his career. Still, he is proud of the Outstanding Faculty Research Award 2019 of The University of Texas at Tyler, USA, the Best Faculty Award 2012 at the Jackson State University, Mississippi, USA, the ATMAE Faculty Excellence Award in 2011, and the Epsilon Pi Tau Scholarship in 2018. His research interests include bioengineered submicron and nanoparticle spectrometry and application in the manufacturing of pulmonary drug delivery devices and methodologies, aerosol electrostatics, PLC/CIM and additive manufacturing, and simulation of nano- and submicron-particle flow and deposition in the human and animal lungs.
