Some Results Related to a Method of Lagrange

Abstract

In this article we show that the conditions imposed by Lagrange and other authors for finding a particular solution for a non-homogeneous linear differential equation of order n ≥ 2 are convenient at times, but not always the best, and that a particular solution may be obtained by imposing much more general conditions.
