Abstract
A multichannel surface grid electrode interface has been developed to record multichannel EMG signals. Fine wire needle electrode and surface electrode are two ways to record EMG signals. The surface grid electrode EMG interface has been utilized to collect data from six normal young adults. Inverse distance interpolation technique has been utilized to map the EMG signals on the surface of the grid electrode array. This microcomputer based multichannel grid electrode interface was successfully demonstrated to record EMG data and its surface mapping.
