#Doesthatreallywork? Transforming the Traditional, Rethinking, Letting GoCARL: California Academic and Research Libraries (2012)
AbstractJoin us for a show and tell of new tools and services at the Pepperdine University Libraries. Most were success (merging circulation and reference desks to create the iPoint), a few need twecking (marketing our services) and some we just needed to throw away (hated expensive study room manager and changed to brand new cheap Springshare product). These difficult budgetary times gave us a chance to re-evaluate our user experience and ultimately led to a more collaborative work environment. See how we improved on everyday services, reduced staff load, revamped our student jobs and had fun in the process. Take home some great, cheap, innovative ideas to use in your libraries!
