Abstract
Animal herding (or pastoralism) is a vanishing way of life that has been practised worldwide. The Human Biology of Pastoralist Populations is the first volume to examine systematically the biology and health of pastoral groups as opposed to the social, cultural and economic dimensions of the pastoralist way of life. Written by leading researchers in biological anthropology, human biology, demography and human genetics, it will be of broad appeal to scholars in both the biological and social sciences.
