Abstract
The subject of the thesis focuses on the study of inhibitory power of tetrazoles as corrosion of copper and its two alloys 70Cu30Zn and 60Cu40Zn in nitric acid solution. The basic molecule 1,2,3,4-tetrazole (TTZ) and these derivatives 5-amino-1 ,2,3,4-tetrazole (AT), 1-phenyl-5-mercapto-1 ,2,3,4-tetrazole (PMT) and 1-phenyl-1 ,2,3,4-tetrazole (PT) are tested. The study was conducted using the Gravimetric and electrochemical methods (stationary and transient). We have taken account the influence of its concentration, temperature of environment and immersion duration of the metal sample. The addition of these inhibitors is to slow down the corrosion rate of copper and brasses. Their effectiveness depends on the inhibitory concentration of the product, the structure and the molecular stereochemistry. The classification of these inhibitors obtained following their inhibition efficiency is: TTZ
