An alternative method for assessing oral heritage language development

Abstract
Specific assessment procedures, including types of speech samples, their relationship with the curriculum design, and preliminary findings will be reported in this presentation. This report will contribute to the field of second language acquisition research, language testing, as well as language curriculum development, by demonstrating how assessment theory can be put into practice in heritage language learning contexts.
