The Role of Assessment in Heritage Language Courses

Abstract
This presentation reports on the dynamic processes of oral language assessment as an integral part of curriculum design and evaluation for high school heritage language courses. The paper reports on how analyses of speech samples allow teachers and curriculum developers to adjust pedagogical activities to better meet student needs.
