About Mickey L Mattox

I teach historical theology at Marquette University for both graduate and undergraduate students. My publications focus on the life and work of Martin Luther, with a special emphasis on his biblical exegesis, particularly of the book of Genesis. I also work in Reformation theology more broadly, especially Johannes Oecolampadius, the reformer of Basel. Ecumenical theology is a third major interest, where my work has been centered on the theological similarities and differences between the Lutheran, Catholic, and Orthodox faith traditions.
