About Mickel Paris

Mickel is the Head of Health Sciences Library Research and Learning Services and Associate Professor of Practice for University of the Pacific. At Pacific, Mickel relies upon innovative practices and technologies to bring together health sciences resources on 3 city campuses (Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco), while also developing a virtual library presence for the dental school. Mickel’s view of research as an important component in improving library programs and services has led him to assessing the effects of information literacy training on attitudes and behaviors in student learning of Evidence-Based Practice.
