About Michelle Wormley

Michelle Wormley, PT, MPT, PhD, CLT, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Sacred Heart University. Michelle joined Sacred Heart University in 2008 as Adjunct Faculty followed by a Clinical Faculty role after five years of clinical experience in acute and subacute rehabilitation settings. In September 2010, she accepted the role as Clinical Assistant Professor and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education. Michelle is a member of the Oncology and Neurology sections of the APTA and the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association. She coordinates all continuing education programming for the department and continues to practice in the University’s specialty clinic, treating patients with lymphedema. She is also a member of the New England Consortium of Academic Coordinators of Clinical Education.
Degrees: PhD, Nova Southeastern University; MS, Physical Therapy, Quinnipiac University; BS, Physical Therapy, Quinnipiac University.
Specialist Certifications: Lymphedema Therapist, Casley-Smith Method; Jobst/Elvarex Certified Fitter; CPR certified.
In 2014 Dr. Wormley has received a $10,000 grant from the Breast Cancer Alliance to help fund an intensive 126-hour certification course on lymphedema mangement.
