About Michelle L. Eberle

Michelle Eberle, MSLIS, is a Consultant for the Massachusetts Library System. The Massachusetts Library System, a state-supported collaborative, fosters cooperations, communication, and innovation among 1,600 member libraries of all types in the Commonwealth. Michelle provides strategic planning services including facilitating community forums and visioning activities as well as survey development consultation for public library directors. She presents and hosts professional development programs for librarians. Michelle publishes the MLS Community Engagement Blog featuring library partnership success stories. Michelle's professional interests include community engagement, strategic planning, advocacy, reference and information services, grant writing, and health information literacy.

From 2003-2016, Michelle Eberle served as the Health Literacy and Community Engagement Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, New England Region. The NN/LM NER supports a network of health sciences libraries. Michelle facilitated Communities of Interests for Health Literacy and Healthy Communities. She presented and exhibited on MedlinePlus and other National Library of Medicine resources throughout the New England Region. Michelle also offered classes on grant and proposal writing and health literacy. Michelle played an integral role in the NN/LM NER's Focused Health Information Outreach, an initiative to increase health information equity through access to National Library of Medicine resources for geographic areas in New England.
