About Michelle Pierce

Michelle Pierce has been an adjunct professor at Collin County Community College for ten years. She is currently teaching Personal Health (PHED1304) online and on campus. She has also taught Concepts of Wellness, Weight Training, and Walking and Fitness. Prior to her present position, Michelle worked for a Dallas based wellness consulting company where she developed online wellness programs for companies seeking to improve the health of their employees. Michelle also developed health and wellness seminars for corporate clients. Michelle earned a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Health Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. Michelle holds a Healthcare Provider Certification in CPR through the American Red Cross. She is certified through Cooper Aerobics Institute in Biomechanics of Training. Michelle is planning to combine her educational background in Psychology and Health to eventually earn her doctorate in Health Psychology. Michelle is a freelance writer and has published articles on health and fitness, engineering, aviation, and human interest stories. She also enjoys photography, painting, music and spending time with her family.
