Introduction/Abstract

Beyond the typical services offered by a university library of access to books and articles, librarians and staff offer research assistance, Scholarly Communication talks and support, publication or hosting in the institutional repository, Scholarly Commons, teaching information literacy and more.

Purpose

In order to more broadly share what services the University Libraries can provide to the University community, librarian and library staff will be on hand to showcase our research assistance capabilities.

Method

A few services offered that will be on display:

  • Scholarly Commons
  • Open Educational Resources support
  • Librarian reference support
  • Scholarly Communication Talks
  • Teaching information literacy
Results

Our hope is to ensure that more faculty and students are cognizant of not only the physical and digital resources which can be found inside the University Libraries, but what the librarians and library staff can do to assist in their research efforts.

Significance

By better understanding the services that the University Libraries can offer to Pacific faculty and students, it is hoped that those services will be utilized more often and help in fostering and developing the research culture of the University.
