About Michael T. Vale

Michael T. Vale, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Sacred Heart University. His research and teaching focuses on ageism and sexual discrimination in older adults. He has published in Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Social Psychology and International Journal of Sexual Health. He has also presented at the Gerontology Society of America, Association Psychological Science Annual Conference and Midwestern Psychological Association.  Prior to SHU, Michael has lectured at the University of Akron on psychology of diversity, psychology of hate, developmental psychology and topics of sexuality.   Michael has a PhD in adult development and aging psychology from the University of Akron.
