Abstract
Our book, Exporting the Alaska Model: Adapting the Permanent Fund Dividend for Reform Around the World, provides a broad discussion of the possibilities for adapting the Alaska model, as we have defined it, to work in other times and places. We hope the book provides a wide set of examples from which nearly any nation or region of the world can draw useful lessons about how the Alaska model can be adapted for their circumstances. But we do not see the Alaska model as a fixed uniform plan, but as a menu of options available for application in different ways in different places and times. This chapter discusses how it might be appropriately adapted.
