  • Michael Touchton, Boise State University
Abstract
At the invitation of officials at Indonesia’s Ministry of Development and Planning in Jakarta, Indonesia, Mike Touchton presents on the regulation of entry into the formal marketplace and local investment in southeast Asia. His analysis demonstrates that countries that make it difficult to register private enterprises suffer a large loss of local investment and leave small business owners in a state of underdevelopment.
