About Michael Shelton

Michael Shelton is Associate Professor of Spanish and Linguistics at Occidental College. He offers courses in Spanish language, Hispanic linguistics, and general linguistics. His research combines interests in the nature of the Spanish sound system and the representation and processing of language in the mind. As an experimental phonologist, his work adopts psycholinguistic methods to examine issues in Spanish phonotactics.
