About Michael J Selgelid

Michael J. Selgelid earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego. He is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE) at the Australian National University, where he is also Head of a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Bioethics and Deputy Director of the National Centre for Biosecurity. His research focuses on ethical issues associated with infectious disease and genetics. He has over 70 publications in bioethics.
