"Rules for the Road (RFTR): Establishing a Positive Atmosphere for Learning"

Abstract

It is important to establish a positive environment for student-student and student-instructor in-class interaction. This article draws on the author's 15 years of professional experience in the business environment and 10 years tertiary teaching experience, and suggests five points that instructors might use to establish appropriate and acceptable behavior. These are referred to as the rules for the road (RFTR).
