About Michael J. Hussey
Michael Hussey teaches and writes in the areas of taxation, business organizations, wills, trusts, and estate planning. The founding director of the law school’s innovative Business Advising Program, Dean Hussey is devoted to preparing students to advise business clients as practicing lawyers.
Dean Hussey is the faculty director of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. In this program, students and alumni prepare tax returns for low-to moderate-income taxpayers. He is also a committee member of the Money In Your Pocket campaign that coordinates VITA sites in the greater Harrisburg area.
Dean Hussey has won the law school’s teacher of the year award. He was recognized as one of the Harrisburg area’s “40 Under 40” by the Central Penn Business Journal.
