About Michael J. Duffy IV

Library faculty liaison to the Gwen Frostic School of Art, the Department of Dance, the School of Music, and the Department of Theatre at Western Michigan University. My research agenda includes studying information literacy instruction in the performing arts, including applications of nationally recognized outcomes to information literacy instruction, such as ACRL’s Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, and assessment of those efforts. I also study uses of reference sources and services in music, and have published several writings on this topic. Additionally, I am interested in interested in studying programming in libraries. I am a member of the Michigan Academic Library Association, the Music Library Association and its Midwest Chapter, and the Theatre Library Association. I served as an elected Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors of the Music Library Association from 2013-2015.
