Abstract

The views expressed by Dr. Michael R. Van De Mark on queries related to the various research and development related issues of coatings, are presented. The questions were related to controlling epoxy curing rates, extending pigment performance, and differences between emulsifiers and surfactants. Other queries included the degree of closeness of the color of the powder to the cured coating, and the problems encountered while setting up a color database. Mr. Mark also provided the groups which will aid adhesion, and solvents which speed up or retard epoxy curing.
