About Michael J. Pineau

Michael J. Pineau, MS, RN, VHA-CM is an adjunct instructor of Healthcare Informatics in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University. Michael is experienced in quality management, patient safety and many years of industry experience in the VA Healthcare System. He is a Veterans Health Administration certified mentor as well as LEAN/Six Sigma master black belt in efficiency and effectiveness. His research and professional interests include patient safety, use of data for healthcare improvement and quality improvement. In 2001, Michael was a Nursing Spectrum Magazine's New England Nurse of the Year Finalist and has also previously won the Marlene Kramer Award for Dissemination of Nursing Research.
